Björn Ólafsson

Björn joined Better Food Foundation in 2025 as a Research Specialist, translating behavioral science into practical tools for food system change — including impact analysis, nudge research, and the upcoming plant-based nudge calculator and implementation map.

He has spent the past several years bridging academic research and animal advocacy, producing intervention analyses and impact reports for nonprofits across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. His data journalism has appeared in Sentient Media, Truthdig, and EU Observer, and he has presented at TEDx UChicago, the AVA Summit, and the Conference on Animal Rights in Europe.
